Footpaths and Walking

The parish has a number of footpaths, both public rights of way and permissive paths, connecting to Filby to the north, West Caister to the west, and Stokesby to the east.  The images below show the public rights of way in the area.

It is not possible to cross the River Bure, the nearest crossings are Great Yarmouth to the west (Fullers Hill roundabout) and Acle Bridge to the east.

There have recently been some instances of sheep worrying around the parish, please remember that it is a criminal offence to allow your dog to worry livestock, and that a landowner can legally shoot a dog in the act of worrying.

The Mautby Marshes Circular Walk is an enjoyable 7 miles, taking in a large section of the north bank of the River Bure and winding its way through the hamlet of Mautby.  More walking opportunities can be found on the Norfolk Trails website.
