Household Hazardous Waste Days, September and October 2019; in September and October 2019 the County Council will again be running a series of free, weekend-long events at seven of the larger recycling centres where householders can dispose of their left over household chemicals and paint.Recycling Centre
Caister, Pump Lane, NR30 5TE
Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th October
9am to 4 pm
Wood preservatives, insect and weed killers, paint, thinners, varnishes and special cleaning products are among the wide range of household chemicals that will be accepted. These are products that can be too dangerous to be tipped down drains or sent for disposal with ordinary household waste without causing environmental damage. In addition we will be operating collections of reusable paint at all of the sites which will be passed onto a third party.
Defibrillator - There is a Defibrillator situated outside Runham Village Hall in a yellow cabinet on the wall. If there is a medical emergency requiring this apparatus, call 999 and you will be given a code to key in to open the cabinet. The apparatus is self explanatory and the call centre will help. Other Defibrillators are situated in Filby or Stokesby.
